Keith Corbin ACIB TEP - Chairman

Keith became an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 1976 and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 1993. Between 1973 and 1979 he worked for Ansbacher (C.I.) Limited and was a director of its trust company subsidiary. In 1979 he founded the Havelet Group and was, until 1997, Group Managing Director of Havelet Holdings Limited, an international financial services group. After a period working as an independent consultant for various financial service groups, he co-founded Larem Trustees Limited with Neal Duquemin in 1999.

He is the Chairman of Nerine International Holdings Limited which is the parent company of all of the Group operations in the BVI, Guernsey, Switzerland and the Join Venture in Hong Kong. Keith also serves as non-executive Director of various stock exchange listed companies and regulated financial services companies outside of the Nerine Group and has formerly chaired Guernsey International Business Association, Guernsey Association of Trustees, GTA University Centre and served as a committee member for various industry representative bodies.

Neal Duquemin TEP - Deputy Chairman

Neal has been in practice in the trust and company administration field in Guernsey for over 36 years. Having also been with Ansbacher (C.I.) Limited, he joined Keith at Havelet in 1980 as Company Secretary and subsequently as Deputy Managing Director of Havelet Holdings Limited, played an important role in the development of that Group until his departure in 1997. In 1999 he co-founded Larem Trustees with Keith.

He is the Deputy Chairman of Nerine International Holdings Limited which is the parent company of both Larem Trustees Limited and Nerine Trust Company Limited and is a member of STEP. Neal also holds a number of directorships in both the commercial and finance sectors including acting as a director of Infrastructure funds, Emerging Europe Development Funds, Fund of Funds, Property Funds and Buy-Out Funds.

Robin Smith FCCA TEP - Group Finance Director

Robin is a Chartered Certified Accountant who was educated in Guernsey and studied accountancy at Bristol Polytechnic and Derby University. He completed his professional training with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in London. Before being involved in the establishment of Nerine he was for 13 years the Financial Controller for the Havelet Group and Director of Havelet Trust Company (International) Limited, the principal operating subsidiary based in Guernsey.

He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Philip Lockett TEP Director - Client Services

Philip moved to Guernsey in 1985 to work in the International Department of a major Clearing Bank, having previously worked in their specialised International Office in Nottingham since the late 1970’s.

Philip moved into the Trust and Administration business in 1989 working for Havelet Trust Company (International) Limited and latterly with Insinger De Beaufort who acquired Havelet in 1998, as the Trust Director, before re-joining his old colleagues at Nerine in April 2001.

He is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Kevin Masterton IMC. TEP - Client Services Director

Kevin joined Nerine on the 2nd of January 2008, after spending 9 years at Deutsche Bank  as the Senior Relationship Manager in Guernsey for the Private Client team.

Prior to this he worked for 13 years for the Havelet Group of companies which provided International Trust and Company services to International clients.

Throughout his career, Kevin has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in financial services, supporting locally based and international clients and their families.

Mark Stockwell FCA TEP - Fund Administration Manager

Mark was born, raised and educated in Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. He was admitted as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1993 and is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

He spent six years of post qualification experience in the United Kingdom, Singapore and the British Virgin Islands, reaching Audit Manager level with KPMG.

In 1999, Mark was recruited by a medium sized trust company in the British Virgin Islands and was subsequently appointed as General Manager. Mark then joined the team of Nerine Trust Company (BVI) Limited in 2001. He has experience in accounting and administration for trusts and mutual funds, as well as taxation issues, both in the British Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom.

In June 2004, Mark moved to Guernsey to manage Nerine Fund Administrators Limited.

Marcia Bennetts CA (NZ) BCom - Group Accountant / Company Secretary

Marcia is a Chartered Accountant who was educated at Canterbury University in New Zealand.

She has worked in the finance industry in New Zealand since 1993. She came to Guernsey in 2001 and joined Nerine Trust Company Limited in May 2002 in the position of Manager of our Client Accounting Department.

Jeremy Home NZDIPBUS AT(NZ) - Client Accounting Manager

Jeremy was raised and educated in Canterbury New Zealand.  He began his career in the finance industry with a Chartered Accountancy firm in Christchurch New Zealand in 1998 and qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2001.  After time spent traveling he moved to Guernsey and joined the Client Accounting Department at Nerine Trust Company Limited in February 2003.   He took on the position of Manager in March 2007.  Jeremy is currently studying the Foundation Certificate in International Trust Management

David Morris - Client Administration Manager

David joined the team in 1996 at Havelet Trust Company (International) Limited in Guernsey prior to moving to Nerine in February 2001 as a Senior Administrator. David now manages our department responsible for United Kingdom, Southern African and also Swiss sourced business.

David is looking to complete the final stage of his examinations towards membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) later this year.

Noel Barton FCA - Chairman

Noel Barton is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London in 1954 and after eight years as a partner in Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. in Salisbury, Rhodesia (now Harare, Zimbabwe) he relocated to the British Virgin Islands in 1970. He retired as the senior partner in the British Virgin Islands in 1989 and since then was the chairman of one of the leading trust companies until 1998. He has continued to act as a director of various trust and other financial services companies. During his career, Noel has considerable experience in the areas of corporate administration, mutual funds, trust planning and administration.

SIMON W. FILMER BA (HONS) ACIS TEP – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Simon Filmer, born and educated in the UK, joined the Nerine BVI team in July 2004, as General Manager with responsibility for Client Services. He became a director of Nerine BVI in March 2006 and was promoted to Managing Director in January 2008. He is a long-term resident of the BVI, and, prior to joining Nerine, had been the Corporate Manager of two small to medium sized trust companies in the BVI. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a Full Member of the Society of Trust Estate and Practitioners. He is very active in the financial services industry in the BVI, serving on the Council of the BVI Association of Registered Agents, (and acting as Chairman of that body from July 2006 onwards), the Marketing Advisory Committee, as a Committee Member of the BVI ICSA Group, and several other private and public sector bodies.

WAYNE S. FRANCIS FCCA ACIS – FINANCE DIRECTOR

Wayne Francis joined the Nerine BVI team in March 2007 as the Finance Director, having spent ten years in the BVI financial services industry as a Financial Controller and also a short stint as a Compliance Officer. He was born on the island of St.Vincent and the Grenadines, where he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1995, after working with Pannell Kerr Foster. Wayne is also qualified as a Chartered Secretary with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Harriette Skelton MICA – COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Harriette is the former Chairperson and a founding member of the British Virgin Islands Association of Compliance Officers. She holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Missouri Southern State University and is a Professional Member of the International Compliance Association in the UK. She is a Member of the Advisory Board of the International Compliance Association and one of the founding members of the Caribbean Association of Compliance Officers. She has also lectured in Compliance at the local Community College in the BVI. After 23 years at a major BVI trust company, Harriette joined Nerine BVI in September 2005 as the Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

ADÈLE PERROT BSc (HONS) TEP – SENIOR TRUST OFFICER

Adèle was raised and educated in Guernsey and joined Nerine Trust Company (BVI) Limited in January 2007 as a Senior Trust Officer. She has over eight years experience in Financial Services, including six years trust experience in Guernsey and the Caribbean. She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is currently studying towards the professional qualification with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Adele heads up the Fiduciary Services team within the Administration department in the Nerine BVI office and has been approved by the BVI Financial Services Commission as a Senior Officer.

CHRISTOPHER LE PAGE BSc (Hons) FCCA – FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Chris was born in England, but raised and educated in Guernsey. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2002, and has more than seven years experience in the financial services industry. In May 2005, Chris relocated to the British Virgin Islands, joining the Trust team of a medium sized trust company, before joining Nerine Trust Company (BVI) Limited in June 2007 as a Financial Accountant. Chris heads up the Client Accounts team within the Accounts department and is approved as a Senior Officer by the BVI Financial Services Commission.

Gareth Corbin DIP (ITM) TEP - Director

Gareth was born in Guernsey, in the Channel Islands and educated locally at Elizabeth College before moving to the United Kingdom to study A-Levels at Bradfield College in the Royal County of Berkshire. He then studied at University College London, before moving back to the Channel Islands to start work in the Fiduciary Department of a major English Bank in Guernsey.

In 2001 Gareth moved to Nerine Trust Company Limited and sat the Diploma in International Trust Management which he obtained in January 2003 and was formally admitted to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

In 2004 Gareth moved to Geneva, Switzerland to commence work for Close Trustees (Switzerland) S.A. before establishing Nerine Fiduciaire S.A. in October 2005.

Giuseppe Albanese – Trust Officer

Giuseppe was born & educated in Geneva, Switzerland. He studied Law at Geneva University graduating in 1999. Upon completing his degree, Giuseppe joined the Administration Fiscale de Geneve (Tax Administration of Geneva) as a Trainee Lawyer. Giuseppe then moved to the Geneva Branch of a Prominent Law Firm based in Lugano, where he specialized in Contract Law.

In December 2004 Giuseppe joined the Trust arm of a major International Bank based in Geneva, as a Trust Officer, dealing with international clients, primarily from the Middle East. Giuseppe undertook a range of activities including the purchase and sale of UK properties.

Giuseppe is fluent in Italian, French and English.

Matthew Corbin BSc. (Hons), Dip (ITM) TEP - Director

Matthew completed his professional STEP examinations in International Trust Management and became a member of STEP in 2004.

Previously employed by H M Foreign and Commonwealth Office, he also served overseas with the Diplomatic Service as an Attaché. He studied Information Management at University College London, in which he gained a BSc. (Honours) Degree.

After a brief period with Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) Limited, Matthew joined Nerine Trust Company Limited, in Guernsey, working in Nerine’s Special Projects Department administering structures for HNWI’s in the form of managed and private trust companies.

Matthew moved to Hong Kong in December of 2006 to start a new venture between Nerine and The AFP Group. Nerine Trust Company (Hong Kong) Limited is the technical consulting and marketing arm of Nerine and AFP for all fiduciary services in the Asia Pacific region.

Katja Meyer-Paysan LLB (Hons) - Manager

Katja graduated from Kingston University in London attaining an LLB (Hons) specialising in German Law, she went on to complete her Bar Vocational Course at BPP Law School and was admitted to the Bar in England and Wales in 2001.

Katja previously worked as an in-house senior legal advisor to a publicly listed recruitment company based in London, specializing in company law and data protection.

Katja joined AFP Nerine in October 2007 and completed various attachments to our Zürich, Liechtenstein and Guernsey offices before moving to Hong Kong in March 2007. Katja is a Manager within the Fiduciary Services Department and is currently studying for her STEP Diploma in International Trust Management.
