Keith became an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 1976 and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 1993. Between 1973 and 1979 he worked for Ansbacher (C.I.) Limited and was a director of its trust company subsidiary. In 1979 he founded the Havelet Group and was, until 1997, Group Managing Director of Havelet Holdings Limited, an international financial services group. After a period working as an independent consultant for various financial service groups, he co-founded Larem Trustees Limited with Neal Duquemin in 1999.
He is the Chairman of Nerine International Holdings Limited which is the parent company of all of the Group operations in the BVI, Guernsey, Switzerland and Hong Kong. Keith also serves as non-executive Director of various stock exchange listed companies and regulated financial services companies outside of the Nerine Group and has formerly chaired Guernsey International Business Association, Guernsey Association of Trustees, GTA University Centre and served as a committee member for various industry representative bodies.

Nerine

Neal has been in practice in the trust and company administration field in Guernsey for over 36 years. Having also been with Ansbacher (C.I.) Limited, he joined Keith at Havelet in 1980 as Company Secretary and subsequently as Deputy Managing Director of Havelet Holdings Limited, played an important role in the development of that Group until his departure in 1997. In 1999 he co-founded Larem Trustees with Keith.
He is the Deputy Chairman of Nerine International Holdings Limited which is the parent company of both Larem Trustees Limited and Nerine Trust Company Limited and is a member of STEP. Neal also holds a number of directorships in both the commercial and finance sectors including acting as a director of Infrastructure funds, Emerging Europe Development Funds, Fund of Funds, Property Funds and Buy-Out Funds.

Robin is a Chartered Certified Accountant who was educated in Guernsey and studied accountancy at Bristol Polytechnic and Derby University. He completed his professional training with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in London. Before being involved in the establishment of Nerine he was for 13 years the Financial Controller for the Havelet Group and Director of Havelet Trust Company (International) Limited, the principal operating subsidiary based in Guernsey.
He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Rob joined Nerine in November 2009 as Chief Operating Officer before being appointed to the Board in April 2010. Prior to this he spent 13 years with Julius Baer Trust Company in Guernsey as deputy managing director from 1995 to 2008, and was self employed for two years providing consultancy to both local and international firms on fiduciary and performance measurement software.
During the past 20 years Rob has been involved with all areas of fiduciary operations, including business development, client relationship management, client accounting and systems configuration and implementation.
Rob is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners having completed the International Diploma in Trust Management, and a member of the International Compliance Association having completed the International Diploma in Compliance.

Kevin joined Nerine on the 2nd of January 2008, after spending 9 years at Deutsche Bank as the Senior Relationship Manager in Guernsey for the Private Client team.
Prior to this he worked for 13 years for the Havelet Group of companies which provided International Trust and Company services to International clients.
Throughout his career, Kevin has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in financial services, supporting locally based and international clients and their families.

Mark joined Nerine in May 2010 and was appointed to the board in August 2010.
Qualified as a Barrister and as a Solicitor, and a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Mark has devoted his career to looking after the interests of high net worth individuals and families.
Before moving to Guernsey, Mark worked in Jersey, Singapore and London, and in that time he has worked for trust companies, law firms and accountants, giving him a broad perspective on the needs of the international private client.
During his career, Mark has worked for trust operations of large financial institutions, but has always believed that clients are best served by a truly independent trustee, such as Nerine.
Mark has always enjoyed the diversity of trust work, looking after a wide range of clients and assets over the years, and has a breadth of experience that is typical within Nerine, given its commitment to provide tailored solutions to the needs of its clients.

Jeremy was raised and educated in Canterbury New Zealand. He began his career in the finance industry with a Chartered Accountancy firm in Christchurch New Zealand in 1998 and qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2001. After time spent travelling he moved to Guernsey and joined the Client Accounting Department at Nerine Trust Company Limited in February 2003 and took on the position of Manager in March 2007. He qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant in January 2009 and was appointed to the position of Group Accountant in January 2010. Jeremy has completed the Foundation Certificate in International Trust Management.

David joined the team in 1996 at Havelet Trust Company (International) Limited in Guernsey prior to moving to Nerine in February 2001 as a Senior Administrator, prior to being promoted to Head of Administration in September 2009, David managed our department responsible for United Kingdom, Southern African and also Swiss sourced business.

Mark was born and raised in Devon before moving to Guernsey where he completed his education.
Mark joined Nerine in December 2009 having previously worked as the Head of Trust Administration for BSi Trust Corporation (C.I.) Limited. During the last 15 years Mark has worked for several fiduciary companies in Guernsey, focusing for much of that time on Employee Benefit structures and international pension plans. Before embarking on a career in financial services Mark served in the British Army and as an investigation officer with Customs and Excise.

Simon Filmer, born and educated in the UK, joined the Nerine BVI team in July 2004, as General Manager with responsibility for Client Services. He became a director of Nerine BVI in March 2006 and was promoted to Managing Director in January 2008. He is a long-term resident of the BVI, and, prior to joining Nerine, had been the Corporate Manager of two small to medium sized trust companies in the BVI. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a Member of the Society of Trust Estate and Practitioners. Simon is very active in the financial services industry in the BVI, serving as Chairman of the BVI Association of Registered Agents from July 2006 to November 2009, and as a member of the Marketing Advisory Committee, the Joint Anti-Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing Advisory Committee, the Financial Services Institute Advisory Council, and other private and public sector bodies. He has considerable experience in the areas of corporate business, trusts and mutual funds.

Wayne Francis joined the Nerine BVI team in March 2007 as the Finance Director, having spent ten years in the BVI financial services industry as a Financial Controller and also a short stint as a Compliance Officer. He was born on the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1995, after working with Pannell Kerr Foster. Wayne is also qualified as a Chartered Secretary with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Livia joined the Nerine BVI team in February 2011 as the Compliance Manager. She has spent 15 years in the British Virgin Islands financial services industry, with the last 8 years in full time Compliance roles. She is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is completing qualification as a Chartered Secretary with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. She is approved by the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission as a Tier I Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

Adam obtained his law degree in 1997 from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, being admitted later that year to the New Zealand bar and subsequently to the Cook Islands bar in 2001. Adam has extensive experience as both a general lawyer and in the provision of fiduciary services having worked in these capacities in the Cook Islands, the BVI and New Zealand. Adam previously spent three years in the BVI as legal counsel and compliance officer to a mid-sized trust company. Having spent close to three years back in his native New Zealand, Adam returned to the BVI in July 2010 to take up a position with Nerine BVI as Fiduciary Services Manager. Adam has been approved by the BVI Financial Services Commission as a Senior Officer.

Kevin is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He began his studies in accountancy at the University of the Virgin Islands, completing in London at Emile Woolf College (FTC) in 2004 and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2005. Kevin started his professional career at BDO Binder, and, since then, has spent several years working in Banking, Financial Services and the Utilities industries, including three years as the Deputy Financial Controller of the BVI Electricity Corporation. He joined Nerine in September 2009 as Head of Client Accounting and has been approved by the BVI Financial Services Commission as a Senior Officer.

Jonelle was raised and educated in the British Virgin Islands and the United States and joined Nerine Trust Company (BVI) Limited in January 2009 as Corporate Supervisor. She has over eight years experience in the Financial Services industry and is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Jonelle runs one of the Corporate Teams within the Administration department and has been approved by the BVI Financial Services Commission as a Senior Officer.

Gareth was born in Guernsey in the Channel Islands being educated locally at Elizabeth College, moving to the United Kingdom to sit A-Levels at Bradfield College in the Royal County of Berkshire and studying at University College London, in London.
Gareth returned to the Channel Islands to start work in the Fiduciary Department of a major English Bank in Guernsey, during which time he sat the Guernsey Certificate in Offshore Administration gaining a Distinction in Trust & Company Administration.
In 2001 Gareth joined The Nerine Group of Fiduciaries working at their Headquarters in Guernsey, where he continued studying towards further professional qualifications gaining the Diploma in International Trust Management in January 2003, and being formally admitted to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
In 2004 Gareth moved to Geneva, Switzerland to commence work for Close Trustees (Switzerland) S.A. and went on to establish Nerine Fiduciaire S.A. in October 2005.
Gareth is the Managing Director of Nerine Fiduciaire S.A. overseeing all of the Swiss Office operations and staff. With over 11 years of experience within the Fiduciary Industry Gareth acts as an Independent Protector, and sits on the boards of numerous Private Trust Companies & Holding Companies for both international families and corporate clients.

Alex was born in Dartford, Kent and educated at the Judd School, Tonbridge. Alex went on to gain a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from Manchester Metropolitan University, graduating in 2001.
In 2002 Alex moved to Guernsey, Channel Islands to take up a career in Accountancy and completed his ACCA with PKF. Having qualified in 2006 Alex returned to the United Kingdom and worked as an Audit Senior for Horwath Clark Whitehill in London, dealing with a range of clients including Registered Charities and Multi-National Organisations.
In September 2008 Alex joined The Nerine Group of Fiduciaries as a Fund Accountant working at their Headquarters in Guernsey, during which time he completed the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). In July 2009 Alex moved to Geneva, Switzerland to head up the Accounting Department of Nerine Fiduciaire S.A. and was subsequently promoted to a Director in July 2011.

Graeme was born in County Londonderry, United Kingdom and was educated locally continuing his undergraduate education at the University of Sheffield where he read Law with French. As a part of this undergraduate programme Graeme spent a year studying French Law at L’Université de Nancy II, in Lorraine, France.
During the summer of 2007 Graeme worked for Nerine Trust Company Limited, in Guernsey as part of a graduate placement programme for students, returning to the United Kingdom to complete his degree and the postgraduate Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester where Graeme specialized in modules of Private Client; Wills and Estates, Family and Commercial Property legal practice.
Having spent some time at a leading national law firm in Manchester, Graeme made the move to Switzerland to work at an independent trust company before joining Nerine Fiduciaire S.A., as a Trust Officer.
Because of his existing legal qualification Graeme was granted an exemption from the STEP Foundation Certificate and is currently studying towards obtaining the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management.

Matthew completed his professional STEP examinations in International Trust Management and became a member of STEP in 2004.
Previously employed by H M Foreign and Commonwealth Office, he also served overseas with the Diplomatic Service as an Attaché. He studied Information Management at University College London, in which he gained a BSc. (Honours) Degree.
After a brief period with Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) Limited, Matthew joined Nerine Trust Company Limited, in Guernsey, working in Nerine’s Special Projects Department administering structures for HNWI’s in the form of managed and private trust companies.
Matthew moved to Hong Kong in December of 2006 to start Nerine's presence in Hong Kong. Nerine Trust Company (Hong Kong) Limited is the technical consulting and marketing arm for all fiduciary and corporate services in the Asia Pacific region and Indian Subcontinent.

Born and educated in Guernsey, Melanie moved to Hong Kong in 2007 initially working for a large institutional trustee, before moving to Nerine in March 2009.
Melanie has over 10 years experience of Trust and Company administration in both Guernsey and Hong Kong. She is a full member of the Society of Trust
and Estate Practitioners (STEP) having passed their diploma in International Trust Management.
She focuses on providing support to specialist estate planning vehicles for high net worth clients in the Asia Pacific region.

Katja graduated from Kingston University in London attaining an LLB (Hons) specialising in German Law, she went on to complete her Bar Vocational Course at BPP Law School and was admitted to the Bar in England and Wales in 2001.
Katja previously worked as an in-house senior legal advisor to a publicly listed recruitment company based in London, specialising in company law and data protection.
Katja joined Nerine in October 2007 and after completing various attachments to their Swiss and Guernsey offices moved to Hong Kong in March 2008. Katja is a Manager dealing with a portfolio of clients and is a full member of STEP. She speaks German, English and French.
