Keith Corbin ACIB TEP
Group Executive Chairman
Keith is the Executive Chairman of Nerine International Holdings Limited - the parent company of all Nerine group operations in Guernsey, the BVI, Hong Kong, India and Switzerland.
Keith also serves as independent director of listed companies, regulated financial services companies and chairs a number of private company boards.
He has been named in the honours list in the leading trustees category by Citywealth magazine for 2012 and 2013. In the little time he has spare he’s a devoted father and grandfather and loves rugby.
Robin Smith FCCA TEP
Group Finance Director
Robin is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) having completed his professional accountancy training with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in London.
Robin spent 13 years as the financial controller for the Havelet Group and a director of Havelet Trust Company (International) Limited before becoming a founding partner at Nerine where he is Financial Director for the group.
Robin has responsibility for all aspects of group financial control He was also involved in Nerine’s fund administration business and retains a directorship of a quoted Guernsey fund.
Robin is mad about basketball and coaches a Guernsey women’s team.
Jonathan Bailey LLB TEP
Guernsey Client Services Director
Jonathan qualified and practiced as a solicitor in England before moving to the BVI where he was admitted as a solicitor in Anguilla and BVI and became a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
He joined Nerine as the Managing Director of the BVI office in April 2013 and has considerable experience advising clients on BVI trusts, the use of VISTA legislation, private trust companies and for general succession of BVI company shares. Jonathan then relocated to Guernsey in July 2018 to join the board of the Guernsey office.
Jonathan loves watching and playing cricket and rugby.
Wayne Francis FCCA FCIS
BVI Managing Director
Wayne joined the Nerine BVI team in March 2007 having spent 10 years in the BVI financial services industry as a financial controller and also a short period as a compliance officer. He was born on the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines where he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1995 Wayne is also qualified as a Chartered Secretary with The Chartered Governance Institute and was made a Fellow of the institute in July 2012.
He was appointed to Deputy Managing Director in April 2013, and was appointed as the Managing Director in July 2018.
Wayne enjoys music and movies and the occasional early morning stroll.
Monika Freemantle TEP, Dip Bus & Fin
BVI Trust Director
Born and educated in Jersey, Monika began her career in the fiduciary services industry over 30 years ago, initially undertaking her training in the commercial department of a Jersey international accountancy practice. Monika has since held a number of senior roles in Jersey in legal, bank owned and niche private trust companies before moving to the BVI in January 2016 to join Nerine, which was acquired by PraxisIFM in 2018.
Monika has overall responsibility for the BVI fiduciary services team, who work closely with high net worth international families, family offices and their advisors to establish and administer bespoke wealth management structures, holding both financial and non-financial assets, direct investments, global property portfolios, chattels, family business shares, off balance sheet debt and investment portfolios. Her role encompasses appointments to the Board of Regulated entities as well as other companies under administration. Monika enjoys dealing with complex family situations and developing solutions with clients and their advisors tailored to their individual needs. The team also provides Authorised Representative and other corporate services to BVI fund clients.
Monika is a Member of both the Association of Accounting Technicians and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has also gained the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes.
BVI Corporate Manager
Petra-Marie has over 30 years of experience in the British Virgin Islands’ financial services industry, including an extensive knowledge of the regulatory environment. She has been approved by the BVI Financial Services Commission as a Senior Officer since 2012.
She oversees the administration of over 10,000 BVI companies, including two managed trust companies, and her team has a combined BVI financial services experience of over 20 years.
Petra-Marie has an international client base, for which she performs incorporations and company secretarial matters, statutory filings, liquidations and oversees regulatory compliance requirements.
Shakeema Vanterpool B A
BVI Corporate Manager
Shakeema has 13 years’ experience in the offshore sector and has substantial experience in providing company secretarial administration. She started her career as a Corporate Administrator and was promoted in 2019 to a Corporate Manger and a Senior Officer approved by the BVI Financial Services Commission.
She manages one of the BVI Corporate Teams and they are responsible for the overall administration of their clients’ companies which also includes being compliant with all local regulations.
Shakeema holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
Her interests include volunteering at local Non-Profit Organisations and travelling.
